IVT has completed crucial scale-up and manufacturing method development for the VacciMax® platform and has shown that the efficacy of scaled-up batches is equivalent to small scale batches made in-house.  IVT has manufactured commercial scale vaccine batches, including the most recent 50 litre (200,000 doses) batch for a prophylactic vaccine indication. This accomplishment is particularly important because historically, large-scale production of liposomes has been a significant challenge.  IVT has chosen a reputable contract GMP facility as the external development and manufacturing site.  This site has an establishment license from Health Canada, which allows it to manufacture sterile products for clinical and commercial purposes. Dedicated, IVT-owned equipment has been purchased and installed at the site.
